In order to gain a more in depth understanding of the Japanese market and to provide the best support to our Japanese business partners, ITware’s Business Development Manager attended in 2014 a full year, full time Executive Training Program by Waseda University, funded by the European Union.
„The EU Executive Training Program (ETP) in Japan is a human resource development program targeting European companies and executives looking to enter or expand their business activities in Japan. Conceived in 1979 by the European Commission with the support of Keidanren (Japan Business Federation), ETP has helped numerous EU companies to understand the Japanese market, providing training to more than 1000 EU executives to date, many of whom now hold prominent leadership positions in EU companies based in Japan and around the world.
Waseda University has been entrusted by the European Commission with the overall planning and execution of the program since the 25th cycle of ETP (2006 – 2007).”
During the program participants studied foundations of the Japanese language, as well as learned about Japanese business culture and practices.
Some of the courses were attended together with Japanese managers attending the Waseda Next Generation Business Program (WNLP). (See picture on the right from a joint lesson.)
ITware is working with Japanese partners since 2008, mainly in the field of IoT (Internet of Things) - M2M (Machine to Machine communication) and mobile applications. Please check about “Kojimori” for further information.
We trust that European Union’s ETP Program will contribute to our further expansion in the Japanese market and will help our efforts in gaining more customers.
