The Horizon 2020 framework programme is a keystone of Innovation Union which is a seeded initiative of Europe 2020 strategy and its goal is to increase the global competitiveness of the continent. Horizon 2020 is the first standard framework for all the research and innovation funding instruments of the European Union.

ITware’s CEO, Sándor Dankó and project manager Attila Biró represented the company at the Horizon 2020 Connections conference. We travelled to Bratislava with 3 tender ideas of 3 different areas. The goal of our participation was to quest those companies and potential partners with whom we can accomplish our ideas for Horizon 2020.

Nearly 250 companies from 11 countries participated at the event. Despite of the great interest there were many countries without tender ideas. According to our experience most of the countries participated in the event to find opportunities to connect other organizations who have concrete ideas.

We managed to make contact with several companies, universities and research institutes, thus discovered new business fields. Nevertheless the event provided an opportunity to meet again with our existing partners. As a result of the negotiations, we have started to develop the project ideas and define the details of the tasks.
